The agent selling the building, Living Quarter, suggests that this may be the most exquisite residence in Ellesmere Park.

Reason for the low price is the owner moving away and therefore trying to arrange a quick sale.

He said: “Real estate doesn’t get any better than this. It is a beautiful house in a stunning conservation area, and close to Monton village. It has had a full top to bottom refurbishment over the last 20 years, and in the last two years a new roof, total brick clean, and repointing.”

Agent Living Quartet think the property could “easily convert into three or four family dwelling, 12 flats or 15-17 lodgings.”

Other suggestion include turning it into a “boutique bed and breakfast/hotel, medical centre, dental practice, children’s nursery, or corporate centre” adding it is a “rare” chance to buy an “opulent historic building of grandeur and style”.

The property is in a great location, removed from the road, in an extensive area of land surrounded by mature trees and set behind a stone-walled garden.

This includes two allotments with mature fruit trees.

The majority of the vast sash windows are still the original and have been restored to work fully. An extravagant staircase rises from the entrance hall, with swept mahogany handrail and a stainless steel balustrade. The huge basement area has recently been repainted and re-carpeted.
